My Northallerton is a community resource for the people of Northallerton. It is being created to help the people of Northallerton and surrounding areas find out what's going on, to give a means of contacting old friends and making new ones, and to help all the inhabitants use this new fangled Internet thingy.

My Northallerton has three components.

• This web site is the heart of the virtual community, a switchboard and host for anything Northallerton related. With your help it will grow till you can find out anything you want to know about Northallerton here.
• Our partner web site - my-Northallerton.co.uk - is a directory for all shops and businesses in and around Northallerton, and a hosting site for our sponsors. What makes it different is that you can give your opinion about what's good and bad - and the businesses can reply.
• The most important part is the community - the people who make my Northallerton what it's going to be. The IT professionals, students and volunteers who are building these web sites, the businesses who are sponsoring and supporting it, the organisations using it and most of all, yourselves - the people who visit and contribute to it.
